Sunday morning, I taught Desi to play Blokus using the two person game. After three games, he was ready to take on more competition, so we broke out the four person game and challenged Corey and Wes. Corey had never played before either, but it’s a fast game to learn, so he was up to speed quickly.  We played three games and now Corey is going to buy one for their house.  Desi can’t wait to play again and Wes said he wants to play more often too.At Rams Horn

We wanted to spend some time in the sunshine and Ram’s Horn seemed like a good idea. Hoping it wouldn’t be too muddy, we drove to Catskill late in the morning.  The path was passable, with only a few spots where we had to pick our way carefully.Dried cattailsThere are lots of dried cattails, with their seeds wafting about with every breeze, guaranteeing a bumper crop of them this year.

We walked as far as the new bridge, where the water was very high and the tide was still coming in.

Everyone was getting hungry and Corey and Daisy wanted to get an early afternoon start on the drive home, so we headed back to the cars. We drove back to Saugerties and enjoyed a delicious lunch at Miss Lucy’s.  We hugged goodbye and they left for home, but they’ll be back in three weeks for the Easter weekend.  Desi and I can hardly wait.
