After watching Timothy and Andrew’s soccer games on Sunday afternoon, Wes and I drove to Crafts People in West Hurley. While putting dishes away last week, the salad bowl, I use every day for lunch, tumbled from my hand and smashed on the floor. It was a pottery bowl and the perfect size for a lunch salad. In fact, it was used so often, and not just for salad, that I rarely put it in the dishwasher, but washed it by hand instead.
I searched the entire store for the perfect replacement bowl and found a few that would fit the bill. My favorite, unfortunately, was $70. That one was definitely eliminated.
There’s a ton of pottery in Crafts People, and all of it is beautiful. It’s a good thing my cupboards are already full, otherwise my credit card would have been maxed.
These two bowls are what I finally came home with. They’re a perfect size for a large salad, but also good for chili or a meal that’s too runny for a dinner plate, especially since Wes and I tend to eat the occasional meal in front of the TV. (I know, I know, don’t judge)
I also found a pretty mug with the moon and stars on it. Wes’ comment, “Christmas is coming.”
I like your new bowls very much. John and I went to Crafts People today. I only went to the very top building. It was nice to see Mary again.
