And the clouds were breaking up a bit,
So we took a ride to Story Farms for some fresh asparagus and a couple of Mother’s Day plants. This is the dandelion patch next to the parking lot. There were at least a million dandelions.
We stopped at a small flea market and also at Bonnie and Paul’s house. Paul had cut two overgrown trees in the garden last fall, but now that spring is here, they’re sprouting.
I snapped a quick couple pictures of the columbine.
Back at home, the cinnamon roll dough had risen and was ready to be worked with. The rolls will finish rising in the fridge and I’ll bake them this morning.
I also made zucchini “meatballs” to put in the spaghetti sauce for dinner.
Even though some of my activities were inside, it was nice to know I could go outside and that, in itself, is a mood lifter.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, grandmoms, stepmoms, aunts and anyone else who is important in a child’s life.
