After a wait of 8 weeks, Wes and I picked up our new kitchen cabinet yesterday. It’s made of pine, finished in antique red, and distressed to look old. It fits perfectly in the corner and has lots of storage. We love it! The kitchen redo is almost done.
Before picking up the cabinet, we went to the library fair in the ice arena, coming home with four bags of books. Wes scored with finding 20 books by his new favorite author, John Sandford.
After lunch at home, we drove back into town for Natasha’s 1:00pm game. Her team lost for only the second time, but she took it well with the resilience of children. Also, Auntie April polished her finger and toenails so that helped her recover. During the game Andrew and Timothy played Angry Birds for a while on April’s phone.
Andrew thoroughly enjoyed a blue raspberry ring pop. Timothy had a strawberry one, so his tongue was a lot less dramatically colored.
Late afternoon bread dough rising– Timothy’s two loaves from earlier in the week are totally gone– it’s time to bake again.
Family and Saturday — what could be better?
