The sun’s peeking through the trees at 7am as I start my walk.
I’m always stopping along the walk when I see something to photograph.
Timothy, Andrew, and Natasha made a tent hideaway under the dining room table. They had so much fun in it, we left it up for them to play in again today.
April and I baked many dozens of cookies on Tuesday for the book signing party, so when Natasha asked to bake cookies yesterday, that’s the last thing I wanted to do. We compromised with cupcakes, which are much faster and less messy. The kids are watching them bake and exclaiming over how high they’re getting.
While the cupcakes cooled, they went in the pool, only coming out when they were shivering.
We had an assembly line of cutting the tops of the cupcakes out, putting a bit of frosting inside, adding a few sprinkles, and then putting the top back on. ( I was so busy cutting the tops out while the kids did the filling, I totally forgot to take a picture)
You can see how Andrew enjoyed his cupcake. I have no idea how he managed to get cake on his arm, and also no idea what the green thing is on his forehead. He certainly did enjoy his cupcake, though.
They had a good time!
