As I’m sorting and organizing my quilting stuff prior to putting some, not all, of it back on the shelves in the family room, I made a pile of projects I want to work on and finish first. Most of the projects are either partially done, or something that can be completed quickly.
Wes and I watch Natasha and Adrew on Wednesdays, but Jonathan only worked a half day, due to the weather, so he took the kids home right after lunch. When the weather is hot and humid like it has been, I have no desire to to anything outside. It’s almost like winter, when snow and cold keep us indoors, only we don’t have to shovel it. Anyway , it was a good afternoon for sewing. I machine quilted the corn and tomatoes mini wall hanging and am auditioning binding fabric.
The picture doesn’t do it justice, but this thread catcher is adorable. I used a polka dot fabric and one with brightly colored happy cats. This project took about 45 minutes, and I’ve been meaning to get to it for about a year. That’s totally ridiculous!
The fabric for these two pillowcases has been sitting around for a long time too–again a 45 minute project.
I should have completed all these projects instead of letting them pile up, but I’m not going to Best myself up over it . They’re done and it was an enjoyable afternoon.
Job well done!
