Friday was a day for baking. Sourdough bread takes a long time to rise, but it’s not a lot of work. I just have to be available when it needs to be worked with. Otherwise, it’s left alone. This is whole wheat sourdough with sunflower seeds and it’s one I make often because it’s so yummy.Allrecipes.com sends me a daily email with recipes of the day. This plum bread was in Thursday’s email and I immediately know I wanted to make it. One of the reviewers said the combination of sweet bread and tart plums was delicious. It’s still cooling as I write this post, but it looks promising.
My sourdough starter is now back in the fridge for another week, waiting for me to decide what to bake next.
Sounds good! We picked apples yesterday and I saw a nice recpe for a apple bread on just for pennies I want to try.
