Wes and I drove to Bennington, Vermont on Sunday to attend the Quiet Valley Quilters show.  It was a lovely show and there were some great vendors, but I only bought one thing: a Halloween wall hanging pattern. We had a light lunch at the show, a cup of soup and a piece of cornbread, so as we were driving home, we both felt hungry.  We explored the options by clicking restaurants in my iPhone, but could only find chains and fast food dining options.  Then, Wes remembered a restaurant near Ravena, (actually Coeymans) called Yanni’s and we ended up there.

At the river's edge

We ate outside on the patio, while gazing out at the Hudson. After we finished, we walked along the water and I snapped these pictures.  The flowers are surrounded by tidewater. I would have thought it was too wet for them to survive, but they were definitely flourishing.

Hudson River It was a pretty place and the food was good.  We’ll go back.
