Wes asked what I wanted to do on my birthday and I couldn’t come up with an idea, so he suggested apple picking. We drove across the Catskill bridge to Fix Brothers farm and picked several different kinds of apples. The Apple “snowman” pictures above is Empire apples. I saw a lot of Empires growing that way.
A lot of the trees had all the lower apples picked already, so we really had to stretch to pick.
We did end up filling 5 bags and I scored an easy apple tart recipe from the lady who checked us out.
The farm also sells pumpkins and there was a corn maze too. Wes also told me they have pick your own peaches (but not this year). We’re definitely going back earlier next year.
Great place!
