When Corey was a toddler, one of his favorite books was The Spooky Old Tree by Stan and Jan Berenstain. He had difficulty with the word spooky though, instead pronouncing it “skoopy”. That mispronunciation became a catchword in our family and was my immediate thought when I saw this pattern for sale at a quilt show. Each little quilt has something different in the branches and follows a Halloween theme. I’m trying to get them finished and hanging up by Halloween– adding a bit more “skoopiness” to the day.
