Andrew turned 5 on Wednesday. He excitedly opened hid gift and then looked slightly disappointed because he thought it was a book. He smiled a huge smile when we opened it and he realized it was a Kindle.
Leaving his tablet charging at our house, we drove to the New York State Museum in Albany. Both Andrew and Natasha were impressed with the size of the moose they posed with.
Andrew enjoyed visiting Big and Little Bird on Sesame Street.
The kids are the epitome of bored straphangersin the subway car.
Natasha was fascinated with the section about 9/11. She carefully looked at the display pictures and watched three different videos of eyewitness accounts.
We ended our day oat the museum on a happier note, with a trip up the escalators to the 4th floor and a ride on the antique carousel.
The museum is worth the trip. I always learn something and I know Andrew and Natasha did too.
