As happens with parents sometimes, April and Tim were overbooked for Saturday morning, so they asked us to take Timothy to his scout pack rocket launching at Morse school. Tim and Timothy had built the rocket as a Cub Scout project.
Timothy is attaching the rocket to the launch pad under the supervision of one of the pack dads.
They stepped away to push the launch button.
Blast Off! The rocket took off so fast, there was no way I was going to get a picture. The rocket went at least a hundred feet into the air before a small parachute opened and it drifted to the ground. The scouts had a great time running to where the rocket was expected to land, and trying to catch it. In spite of the freezing, windy weather, the rocket launch was fun and the scouts loved every minute of it.
