Friday was Desi’s seventh birthday. He started the day with buttermilk pancakes and bacon, then opened his gift from Wes and me.
He loved his rat puppet and immediately tried to scare his mom.
We rented a room at the Comfort Inn and had a pool party for Desi’s local cousins, Timothy, Natasha, Andrew, Raven, (Jessica had to work) and other family members.
We weren’t allowed to take food or drink into the pool area, so we all crowded into our room to enjoy mini cheesecake cupcakes and vanilla cupcakes with chocolate frosting. Celebrating a birthday in a slightly unconventional way=good memories.
