Wes and I went to a bonfire last night at Liz and Joe’s house, held specifically to burn everyone’s 2016 calendars. We burned the calendars and all hoped for a better year in 2017. Everyone had brought a dish to share, so we ate and visited with friends. It was a lovely, unusual evening and a great way to to usher in the new year, albeit a bit early.
