I was looking forward to sewing while it snowed on Thursday. A block of the month project that I was already a month behind on was waiting on my ironing board. I spent two hours of the afternoon working on my second incarnation of the January block before giving up and tossing it in the garbage. I thought I would like the technique this particular website was teaching, but I didn’t. I also realized I was procrastinating about doing any kind of sewing at all, and as a result, was doing nothing. Tossing it was the best decision I’ve made this week. I immediately felt a desire to sew, and happily worked on assembling a twin quilt from the blocks I had made at my last retreat. Sometimes giving up is a positive thing.
Yes it is if it’s dragging you down!
