Friday was bread baking day.  Every week, I’m amazed that flour, water, salt, and my sourdough starter, which consists of flour and water, is enough to make crusty, tasty bread. A little feeding of the starter and a little fridge time is all it takes week to week to keep the starter going.  It’s been a year now and it’s still going strong.

Pizza

Natasha and Andrew had a half day of school yesterday, so we made pizza for lunch. The dough is different from sourdough as the ingredients are mixed together and left to rise for an hour, then rolled out, topped and baked.  It’s a faster method, but just as yummy.

Baking is one of my favorite creative outlets.
