Wes went out several times during the storm yesterday to shovel a spot for bird seed.  Each time he went out, he’d take a ruler and measure the snow on the on the picnic table. The high for the day was 17 inches, but after that it compacted a bit,
and the next measurement was 16 inches.

Maggie spent a great deal of time on top of the logs piled on the hearth staring at the birds.

I baked bread and also constructed the first block of a quilt kit I boa year ago. Notice the interesting bush. It has strawberries and tomatoes. I have to do some embroidery and sew the button eyes on yet.

Yesterday was 3/14 or Pi day.  We celebrated with a slice of homemade pumpkin pie.  ( like I need an excuse to eat pie!)
