I’m propped up on several pillows and typing this at 9:30 last night.  Yea, I’m rocking this Saturday night!

Wes and I were up at 5 Saturday morning when our Maggie cat sneaked into the bedroom and jumped on me. Wes got up to put her out and she hid.  It’s difficult to find a black cat in a dark room , so by the time he did, we were both wide awake. We had to get up early to help set up the yard sale benefiting the Saugerties animal shelter, but not quite that early.

After leaving that yard sale, we stopped at Junk in the Trunk at St. John’s church, then visited the Woodstock elementary school for their yard sale. We didn’t buy much, but it’s such fun looking for a bargain or something I can’t possibly live without. 🙂

We stopped at Frederico’s for a quick take out slice of pizza, then went to Natasha’s softball game. We didn’t stay for the entire game. Her team had won by forfeit,  as the other team didn’t have enough players show up. The opponents picked up up a couple of players and they played a practice game.

Wes wanted to get home and grab a nap before he had to leave at 4:30 for a poker game. While he slept, I worked on the dahlia block in the picture. The background is machine pieced, but the flowers are hand-pieced (English paper piecing) which was fun, if a little tedious, then the flowers are hand appliqued on the background.  I have several hours invested in this block and I’m glad it’s done.

When  Wes left for poker, I left for Kingston, for an all by myself wander around Barnes and Noble, then a bean burrito at Moes.

And that’s why I’m tucked up in bed at 9:30 on Saturday night–I bought a new book and a magazine!
