Hot, humid days when I don’t have to go anywhere are perfect for sewing. This is the coneflower block (get it?) in my block of the month. I’m not trying for perfection in my sewing, but would like my seams to meet and not have points cut off. The seams meet fine in this block, but there are points that are badly cut off, and that’s after ripping and resewing multiple times. I finally said the hell with it and left it as it is. What’s weird is the block came out to 12 1/2 inches square as it was supposed to. With cut off points, you’d think it wouldn’t be true to size. Wes, Timothy and I went to the Saugerties farmers’ market on Saturday. One of the vendors was selling juice containing watermelon, apple, strawberry, carrot, and beet. I had to buy a cup and sipped my way to the bottom trying to decide if I liked it. In thinking about it now, I wouldn’t buy it again, so I suppose that’s my answer. However, I would try a different fruit/vegetable combination.
Looks good to me. You will find a juice that you like.
