Now that it’s November I can start thinking about Christmas, right? Last night, in between trips to the front door for trick or treaters, I worked on these folded fabric ornaments. I had seen the link on a quilting blog and bookmarked the directions for the future.

After cutting and pressing four strips for each star, I sat at my laptop following the pictured instructions and rereading the printed instructions several times. The first star took several tries, and then the proverbial lightbulb went on.

I like the star on the right, made with only two fabrics, better than the four fabric one. Red and gold, green and silver—there’s a visit to JoAnn’s in my future.
