For the past several years, Wes has bought me the Christmas Lego set and I’ve spent many happy hours building. Last year, for whatever the reasons, I didn’t get a chance to build the train. With the purchase of the train station kit this year, I knew I had to get busy. When Wes went to play poker last Saturday, I got out my cookie sheets and sorted all the Legos by color, which is the easiest way to build with them. By the time Wes arrived home, I had the 4-car train done and was beginning the train station, but I was tired so I called it a night. The following afternoon/evening I finally finished the station, with help from Wes and a bit of taking apart and redoing.
It’s difficult to capture the exquisite detail in pictures. The train has a coal car complete with a Lego man shoveling the coal and a dining car. It also has a Christmas tree the revolves when the train moves on the track.
The train station had a newsstand/coffee shop that has a tiny drip coffeemaker.
As usual, I thoroughly enjoyed building these two Christmas sets and I can’t wait to see what Lego comes out with next year.
Looks like a lot of fun ! I’m sure everyone will enjoy it!
