Snow and wind. When I saw that forecast, I knew exactly what I would be doing while the weather was raging outside.

Each month last year, I worked on a flower block, some of of them peculiar looking—remember the square flowers?

In the beginning of December, I received Block 12 in the mail but I put it away until after Christmas.

In my spare time on Thursday and Friday, I cut and sewed in our cozy family room, fire blazing, and an electric space heater keeping my feet warm. At one point, I almost tossed the the whole thing in the fire, but enlarging the flowers fixed the problem. (I hate when a pattern is wrong) I have four birds left to appliqué and the borders to sew onto the quilt center. It is going to be bitter cold again today. You know where I’ll be.

  1. Very nice! I don’t know how it looked before you fixed it but it’s lovely now!
