On Saturday morning, Wes made vegetarian chili while I
was cutting 200 pairs of mirror image triangles for the mystery quilt. The cutting would have gone a lot faster if I was cutting straight yardage, but this is a scrap quilt, so I’m cutting smallish amounts of many different fabrics and that takes time.
I have 200 of these units to make and I made 80 on Saturday. It’s more tedious sewing than difficult and I was excited to finally reach a point where I could see what a block will look like. You’ll see the block tomorrow.
The chili Was made turned out delicious. He sliced a farmer sausage from the Smokehouse into his portion and we both enjoyed a freshly baked piece of cornbread with it. And, there’s leftovers for today.
Chiili looks yummy and can’t wait to see the the block!
