Cathy and I spent Thursday afternoon and most of Saturday working on these chubby charmer tote bags. We each bought two charm pacs, which is a pack of 42 5 inch squares. Traditionally a charm pack is all different fabrics, but these packs had repeats. This one is mine

and Cathy made this elegant one. The bags are  huge! We’ll be able to transport a ton of stuff to quilting days and retreats. They were fun to make, but we were tired when we were done. It’s a lot of bag to wrestle in the sewing machine. Back to the mystery quilt. I have all my units sorted into piles of one block each. This is the final decision for the block. They will have sashing between them to cut down on the “busyness” of the pattern. I have two sewn together. Only 48 more to go!
