I have enjoyed quilt shows before, but not like this.  Every row we walked down had something breathtaking that made me want to run home and start sewing. That has to be a good thing–to be so inspired–or should I say sew inspired? From the quilt on top that looks like the maker was using up scraps, to the quilt right here, that is an old block made new and fresh again, the show was inspirational. There was great uses of color and designand intricate piecing. The label for this quilt said it used 90 colors. 90 colors! Look how carefully placed the colors are. That required a lot of forethought and plain old work resulting in a work of art.

More tomorrow…..
