On Saturday, Wes, Timothy, and I took a ride to Story Farms for some Mother’s Day plants.Timothy picked out three small ones for his mom and we prettied up the box they were in with colored tissue. Wes and I picked out two of these dark red geraniums (they are much darker in real life) to plant in containers on the deck. Wes loves coleus and this small-leaved one had to come home with him.
And, I love tuberous begonias, so this bright yellow one came home with me. Wes also bought me a hanging basket of red geraniums (not as dark as the one up above). I seem to be into red this year. Maybe it has something to do with how awful the weather was yesterday. Red and yellow can brighten up anything.
Happy Mother’s Day to one and all!
A very happy Moyher’s day to you Jill!!
