Usually the lily of the valley is in full bloom for Mother’s Day. This year was a different story because of the coldest April in forty years. Finally, it is blooming and filling the air with a wonderful fragrance. Wes’s mom gave us the pink lily of the valley when we were first married. We transplanted some when we moved to this house and it’s growing strong. The white lily of the valley was already here and it has multiplied and spread until we had to pull it up out of the driveway. Now, that won’t be a problem as the driveway is blacktopped.
There’s nothing better than taking pictures after a rain. As I started snapping, the sun came out and made the leaves sparkle. It was perfect timing on my part.
I have the white lily of the valley. The pink is pretty too.Great photography.
