Nor’easter

With rain,  snow, and wind predicted for yesterday, I had my day all planned-a bit of cooking, a bit of sewing and the day would pass. I hadn’t figured on the power going out before 9am and staying out for 9 hours.  The eggs I had cooking in the Instant Pot, along with my breakfast oatmeal that was cooking in the microwave got dumped in the garbage and the day had to be refigured.

The day was dark, so the best spot to set up for hand sewing was near the picture window in the dining room. It was chilly there, but the light was perfect and the rain and wind were fun to watch as I stitched. Several hours later, the quilt binding was finished.

The only problem with finishing the binding on Friday? I had planned to take it with me to work on today at a Saturday meeting of my Thursday night quilt group. Now that plan has to be refigured. That Nor’easter sure threw a monkey wrench in addition to rain, snow, and wind.
