When I came in from grocery shopping yesterday, I made a cup of coffee and sat down by the fire to warm up. After twenty minutes, warmed on the inside and outside, I moved. Maggie immediately took my spot–I think she had been waiting for it and stayed there for a long time. Wes went to stoke the fire and when he opened the doors, I snapped her picture. She wasn’t bothered at all by the flames, just kept basking in the warmth. I wonder how she will act when it gets down to zero.
