As I opened my eyes Monday morning, Wes wished me a happy birthday and asked what I wanted to do for the day. After thinking about it for awhile, I told him I wanted to get a nice take-out lunch somewhere and go to a park to eat. We decided on Kodomo in Kingston, one of our favorite places. I ordered a sushi lunch and Wes ordered two different appetizers. It was fun sitting at the sushi bar and watching the chef make the sushi. He is an artist. We ate in the park and spent a pleasant hour afterwards reading amd watching the gulls and boats on the river. After a stop in Dunkin Donuts for lattes, we headed home.
I finished the second corn and tomatoes block. This one will be a little wall hanging. It was MUCH easier to sew together than the 6 inch block and I’m glad they’re both done.
We finished the day with baked apples, homemade caramel sauce and ice cream.
Happy Birthday to me!
