When Bonnie and I went to the Country Living Fair last Friday one of the things we each bought was a Create a Garden. It’s a metal post with “wings” on the bottom to anchor in a twelve inch flower that’s half filled with gravel and then filled with potting soil. Two plants are planted in the bottom, then two eight inch pots, then two six inch pots are stacked onto the post. All pots are filled with soil, then planted. It makes a topsy turvy planter that will look really cool once my little plants grow a bit. Bonnie, however, used a twelve inch pot, then three eight inch pots and much bigger plants for a different, already established look.
Either way, or any other way we create it, it’s a great idea. The only problem is watering the plants in the tipped pots, but that will get easier once the soil packs down.
A fun idea! Take another picture when the plants get bigger please!
