Last week, I wrote about taking Natasha and Andrew to Robert Post Park in the Town of Ulster. We had such a good time that yesterday we went back with reinforcements. April was babysitting Andrew and Natasha and packed them up, along with Timothy and his friend Maya. Wes and I drove to her house and she off loaded two kids into our car for the trip to the park.
The kids ate lunch and that was kind of the last we saw of them. They were on the playground, playing ball, and just running around. We kept an eye on them from our picnic table and they came back periodically for drinks as it was really hot. There was a nice breeze off the water which made it comfortable to be outside.
The top picture is the sloop Clearwater heading upriver and the second one is a string of twelve geese heading downriver.
The gulls were lined up on the rocks keeping watch for any stray food that might drop from a picnic table. They’ll even eat pieces of apple.
Wes and I talked about going back to the park with a picnic lunch and comfy chairs to spend the afternoon outside. That will definitely happen before it gets too cold.
Beautiful, peaceful day.
