After celebrating Thanksgiving on Thursday, we celebrated Desi’s 6th birthday on Friday. Being the weather was so beautiful, we wanted to be outside as much as possible, so Wes planned a treasure hunt in the yard, with a bag of gold at the end of set of clues. I, with input from the kids, made a list of items to find in a scavenger hunt. We failed at finding snail shells and bird feathers, but found all the other simpler items. There was also a rousing game of kickball which was a continuation of the game on Thanksgiving. ( We had to work off that dinner somehow!)
Before the party started, we took a walk to work some of the wiggles out and throw rocks in the stream. Desi, Natasha and Andrew are royalty on thee stump……
after Daisy deposed Corey. 
And, even though six is getting pretty grown up, it’s not too old for a bedtime story.
