It’s almost the homestretch.  Jonathan hung a new light over the island yesterday.  He found it easier to work while perched ON the island. hanging a lamp

and some painting.   She’s painting the trim that goes directly above the cabinets.  I didn’t take a picture of it installed as I puttyed the nail holes and they have to be painted again. archway in progress

In addition to installing the over cabinet trim, Jonathan glued in the kick plate under the cabinets, installed trim around the bottom of the island, and constructed the archway into the dining room.  Notice all the tools piled on in the dining room.  I have more painting ahead of me this week, but the end is almost in sight——of Phase 1, anyway.
