Bonnie and Paul had company this weekend. Daughters, son-in-law and grandchildren filled up their house to celebrate Paul’s birthday, Owen and Cole’s birthday and Mother’s Day. So, what do you do when you have a houseful? You invite more people. Saturday night, Paul’s family came to dinner and Sunday morning, our side met for coffee and a continental breakfast. (And also cake from the night before.)
The kids were all happy to see each other, as demonstrated by how they piled up together.
Laura gave Bonnie and me each a kitchen towel which made us tear up and then laugh. Our Mom’s initials were OMG, making the towel a perfect gift and a loving reminder.
Natasha and Andrew came home with us to make stepping stones for Shannon for Mother’s Day. Natasha made the flower one on the left all by herself. I showed Andrew how to make the dragonfly by laying out the glass pieces and he did most of it himself, then I helped him move his creation to the wet cement.
After school today, Timothy is coming to make his steppingstone. Picture tomorrow.
In the afternoon, I did some machine quilting on a wall hanging I started at the quilt retreat last month and cut out two blocks for the quilt with the square flowers.
As Sindays go, this was a pretty good one.
