Being I can’t continue working on this project, I had to find something else. These kitties were started at the retreat Cathy and I went to in March. I dug them out yesterday, finished cutting out all the shapes, ironed them on the background and buttonholed four of them. The fabric is 1930’s reprints and I love how the kitties are turning out. They will get pink lining in their ears, a pink nose, and eyes. I will embroider the mouths.
It’s easier to buttonhole stitch while it’s just the cat fabric, so I will sew all 20 blocks and then add the facial features. It’s a fun project and I think the resulting quilt will be very cute.
Looks good so far! You could really have fun making the faces all different or quirky!
