Yesterday morning, we cut up all the McIntosh apples we had left and made them into applesauce. In the picture, Wes is putting the first pot through the Squeezo, while two more pots are cooking on the stove in the background.
Maggie is supervising from her favorite perch in the kitchen.
While the applesauce was cooling in two huge bowls, we packed a quick picnic lunch and drove the the mini park in Glasco. We ate our peanut butter sandwiches and watched the boats on the river. I found a few flowers still blooming. Morning glories–even though it was after 1pm and they were in the sun.
These teeny daisy like flowers were abundant
The sun and shadows on this greenery made it photo worthy.
We stopped at the ATT store also. I’m still trying to get my new iPhone and iPad synchronized so I can move pictures back and forth between them.
We came home and put the applesauce into containers for the freezer and then baked two batches of cookies. Cathy and I are going to a Lake George quilt retreat this weekend and I wanted to bring cookies to share.
And now, I’m done, heading for the couch, as soon as the last pan of cookies comes out.
